Hello All,

Is it possible for to purchase just Elements Organizer??I have downloaded the trial Photoshop Elements, just for the organizer because it is better then lightroom's.

Thank you

No, the Organizer and the Editor are bundled together.

Elements Orgainzer

After reading many comments from users who have both PSE and Lightroom (and that includes myself), I think almost everyone likes the Lightroom Library module better than the PSE Organizer. While the functions?of the two are not exactly identical, there is a huge amount of overlap, and those people who have commented think the Lightroom Library module works more smoothly and has fewer bugs.

But the idea of using Lightroom to edit and PSE to Organize seems quite misguided. The photos simply must be imported into the Lightroom Library module before you can use its editor. So you have to do 2 imports of each photo, once into LR and once into PSE, and if the photo is not raw, then from Lightroom do an export (lots of work on yiour part) so that PSE will recognize the changes. Further almost all edits that you can do in LR can also be done in PSE, so it seems that you are getting the worst of both worlds using the LR editor and PSE Organizer ... more work for little benefit. (The other way around, using Lightroom to Organize and both PSE and LR to edit makes more sense, because the PSE editor is more powerful than the LR editor, and the PSE editor can be used quite easily from within LR when you want that extra power)

Thank you all for your reply.

It is my opinion that uptill PSE 8, I think the Lightroom orgainzer was 100 times better.?In PSE 8, I think the elements organizer is now better.?I like the face recognition option, Organized tagging and fet other features.

I am planning to import and make changes to the photos in Ligtroom first ( I save all my raw as DNG),?then organize with PSE.?I understand you dont recommend this.

Thank you.
